Investment & Transaction Support

Independent analysis before capital moves — valuation, due diligence and deal support for buyers, sellers and investors.

Overview

We give investors, buyers and sellers an independent view of what an asset is worth and what could change that — valuation, financial due diligence, investment appraisal and deal support — set out in writing so it can be relied on in a negotiation, a board paper or an investment committee.

Clients include private equity and family offices investing into African, Middle Eastern and Asian markets, corporates acquiring across borders, and founders preparing to sell. Our network lets the same team cover a target in Lagos and a buyer in Dubai or London.

Capabilities

  • Valuation and fairness opinions
  • Financial due diligence
  • Buy-side and sell-side support
  • Investment appraisal and portfolio review
  • Exit and succession transactions
  • Post-deal integration planning

Who this is for

Investors, acquirers, sellers and boards facing a transaction, and institutions that want an independent view before committing capital.

What you receive

  • Valuation with assumptions set out in writing
  • Financial due diligence focused on what affects price and terms
  • Transaction support through to completion

How the market is changing

Transaction volumes in growth markets have shifted toward smaller, more complex deals: carve-outs, minority stakes, founder exits and secondary sales. Those deals rarely come with clean data, so the quality of diligence and the defensibility of the valuation decide the price more often than headline multiples do.

How to start

A first conversation is confidential and free. If this is the right service for your situation we will scope it in writing before any work begins.

Common challenges

Problems we're regularly asked to solve, and how

  • The problem

A valuation rests on a single method or on management's own projections, and does not survive the first serious question from the other side.

    How we address it

We triangulate valuation across methods and set every assumption out in writing, so the number can be defended line by line.

  • The problem

Due diligence covers everything at the same depth, and the issues that actually move price surface late or not at all.

    How we address it

We focus diligence on quality of earnings, working capital, debt-like items and currency exposure — the findings that change price and terms.

  • The problem

An investment decision is made on a single opinion, with no independent second view before capital moves.

    How we address it

We provide an independent assessment written to be read and tested before the decision, not after.

Process

How this engagement unfolds

  1. 01

    Confidential discussion

We start by understanding the decision in front of you, the constraints around it and what has already been tried — confidential, free of charge, no obligation.

  2. 02

    Scope in writing

You receive the proposed work, what it will produce, how long it will take and what it costs, before anything begins. The scope sets out the questions the valuation or diligence will answer, the information we will need, and the deadlines the transaction sets.

  3. 03

    The work

We build the valuation and diligence findings, flag what affects price and terms, and set out our conclusions in plain language.

  4. 04

    Decisions and follow-through

We support negotiation and completion, and plan the first hundred days after close where that is useful.
